Purpose

Safe, respectful youth sports

CYBS is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all players. Participation in CYBS is a privilege, not a right.

Parent & Spectator Expectations

Support the kids — don’t join the competition

  • Cheer and support players positively
  • Do not argue umpire calls
  • Do not verbally abuse players, coaches, umpires, or spectators
  • Do not use profanity or threatening language
  • Do not engage in confrontations or aggressive behavior

Parents and spectators are expected to observe and support, not participate in competition.

Zero Tolerance

Mandatory consequences

CYBS enforces zero tolerance for abusive or unsportsmanlike conduct. Apologies or intent do not eliminate consequences.

  • Immediate ejection from the field
  • Suspension from CYBS activities
  • Removal from attendance during suspension
  • Expulsion from CYBS in severe cases
Enforcement Notes

How it’s enforced

  • Umpires and CYBS officials may eject individuals immediately
  • Ejected individuals must leave the area at once
  • Refusal to leave may result in police involvement
  • Suspended individuals may not attend any CYBS events

If a suspended individual refuses to leave, the associated player will not be allowed to participate that day.

Responsibility

Managers and team control

Team managers are responsible for the conduct of their players, coaches, and spectators. Failure to control behavior may result in forfeits or additional discipline.
