2021 16-19 Big League Rules

Follow NFHS High School Baseball Rules with the following notes:

1. We will play a 14 game regular season starting June 1st ending by July 20th.
   Must play minimum of 7 regular season games to be seeded in playoffs.
   Playoffs to be single elimination with championship game to be played by August 1st.
2. Games to be umpired with 2 umps supplied by the home team. Home team pays plate umpire and visiting team pays base umpire. All games to be umpired by trained adult house umpires, WNY Umpire Assoc. or equal.
3. Home teams to provide 3 new quality baseballs. (Wilson 10/10 or equal)
4. Bats allowed are wood or bamboo. No wood composite.
5. Games that need to be cancelled require 24 hour notice prior to game time to call off umpires.  Reschedule Immediately.
   Deposit check of $60 to cover 1^st forfeited game was not collected for the 2020 season. NOTE: Contact opposing manager one day before every game to avoid forfeits. Umpires must be paid for forfeited games. Play a scrimmage game for the benefit of all players, coaches and umpires attending. 
6. Teams are meant to be made up of a blend of talented and average players.
7. Players registered and insured through their individual leagues. 
8. No collision rule and no blocking of home plate.
9. Steel spikes are allowed.
10. Mercy rule of 10 runs after 5 innings.
11. No pitching restrictions.
12. Free substitutions. Pitchers once removed may not re-enter to pitch.
13. Batting line-up at the discretion of each manager. Allowed to bat 9, EH, or bat the entire bench.
    NOTE: If player is ejected his spot in the batting order will be an out if you are batting the entire bench.
14. Players ejected from the game are subject to a review by their league review board with a minimum 1 game suspension being the teams next game played.
15. Call-ups from 13-15 league allowed.
16. All games are 7 innings.
    No inning may start after 2hrs. 15mins.
17. Must field 8 players for a  game.  No punitive out for batting only 8.
